What it costs. Published, not negotiated in the dark.
Most speaker sites make you send an email to learn the fee. That wastes your time and mine. Here are the numbers, what moves them, and who this is and is not a fit for.
Last updated: July 2026
Keynote, in person
Up to 60 minutes including Q and A. Customization, a 30-minute prep call with you, and my time on site before and after the session are included. Travel is billed separately and reconciles to actuals.
Keynote, virtual
Up to 60 minutes from a professional studio setup with broadcast-quality video, lighting, and audio. No travel line.
Half-day workshop add-on
Added to an in-person keynote. A working session with a smaller group, built around your team's actual workflows. For operating teams this is usually where the real change starts.
Custom-written talk
A session built from scratch for your theme rather than customized from one of my three signature talks. The range depends on scope.
Multi-engagement package
Two or more events booked together, whether that is a multi-city series or a keynote plus follow-up sessions.
What moves the number
Format and length. A 30-minute session and a 90-minute session are not the same amount of work, but neither sits far from the standard fee. Preparation drives the cost more than stage time does.
How much customization you want. Reworking stories and examples for your industry is included. Building an entirely new talk is not.
Travel. I am based in Miami, so South Florida events carry no travel line at all. Everything else reconciles to actual airfare, lodging, and ground transportation with no markup.
Whether you attach a workshop. For operating teams, most of the durable value shows up in the working session rather than the keynote.
Recording and reuse. Internal recording is included. Public distribution needs written approval and occasionally a small additional fee.
Reduced-fee engagements, reserved on purpose
I hold a limited number of reduced-fee engagements each year for audiences that line up with why I do this at all: veteran and military communities, faith-based organizations, student and next-generation leader events, and nonprofit associations.
This is not a discount you have to negotiate for. It is a decision I made in advance about where my time goes. The talk is the same talk. Tell me about your audience and your budget in the same email and we will find out quickly whether it fits.
Association packages also exist for trade groups when the event can provide professionally recorded video of the session and help gathering attendee feedback. Those terms get set on a call, not on a website.
A good fit
Leadership teams, associations, and franchise groups who want practical AI guidance from someone who runs an operation, not a consultant reading research.
Events where the audience actually decides things: operators, owners, directors, next-generation leaders.
Organizers who want the talk tailored to their industry and will spend 30 minutes on a prep call to make that possible.
Not a fit
Events looking for a technical implementation workshop with code. I teach the operator's playbook, not engineering.
Audiences who want motivation with no substance, or a technology talk with no people in it. My session is both or it is neither.
Organizations wanting a speaker to endorse a product. I talk about what I actually run, and I am not for sale as a spokesperson.
Terms, so nothing surprises you
Payment: 50 percent deposit within 14 days of signing, balance within 30 days of the event. Travel reconciles to actuals afterward and I do not mark it up.
Cancellation: more than 60 days out, the deposit is refunded less a 500 dollar administrative fee. Between 30 and 60 days, the deposit is forfeited and nothing further is owed. Inside 30 days, the full fee is owed regardless of reason, because that date is no longer sellable.
Negotiation: I do not discount the headline fee, out of respect for the last client who paid it. If the budget is tight we restructure instead: a shorter format, virtual instead of in person, a smaller workshop scope, or one of the mission slots above. More answers live on the planner FAQ, and the talks themselves are on the keynotes page.
